Mamleshwar Temple
Mamleshwar Temple is located on the southern bank of the Narmada River. Its actual name is Amreshwar. Devotees visit both Omkareshwar and Mamleshwar temples for darshan and worship. The temple is a unique example of ancient architecture and craftsmanship. Various Mahimn Stotras are engraved on the temple's walls, dating back to 1063 AD. Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar used to worship here, and since then, the priests of the Holkar State have been performing rituals here. The temple is managed by the ‘Ahilyabai Khansgi Trust’. It is also declared a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Panchmukhi Ganesh Temple
Bhagwan Ganesh is considered the first deity to be worshipped among all gods. The Panchmukhi Ganesh Temple is located before the main Omkareshwar Temple. The idol of Bhagwan Ganesh is believed to be self-manifested, emerging from the same stone where Bhagwan Omkareshwar appeared. The idol has two faces on the right, two on the left, and one in the front. Devotees visit this temple before going to Omkareshwar. A yajna is held here on the fourth day of the Bhadon month.
Vrihadeshwar Temple
Located near the Mamleshwar Temple, this temple features exquisite carvings and sculptures. The temple is quite impressive and houses statues of the 24 avatars of Bhagwan Vishnu.
Govindeshwar Temple And Cave
This temple is located near the entrance of the Omkareshwar Temple. It is a well-known fact that Jagadguru Shankaracharya received his initiation and yoga lessons from his guru, Govind Bhagwatpada, in Omkareshwar. The place where Shankaracharya received his initiation is known as the Govindeshwar Temple, and the cave where Guru Govind Bhagwatpada meditated is called the Govindeshwar Cave. The temple was renovated in 1989 by Jagadguru Jayendra Saraswati, with the foundation stone being laid by then-President R. Venkataraman.
Annapurna Temple
This ancient temple has a vast complex that also houses the Sarvamangala Temple, where idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Parvati are placed. A 35-foot-tall statue of Bhagwan Krishna in his Virat form is also installed here, which is described in the Bhagavad Gita.
Mahakaleshwar Temple
Below the main Omkareshwar Temple is the Mahakaleshwar Temple, similar to the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, which is a Jyotirlinga. In Omkareshwar, Bhagwan Mahakal is above, and Bhagwan Omkar is below, while in Ujjain, the positions are reversed. Devotees offer their prayers here, and darshan of this temple is considered an essential part of the complete Omkareshwar pilgrimage.
Gurudwara Omkareshwar Sahib
Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj visited Omkareshwar during his religious travels. In his memory, the Sikh community has built a Gurudwara here, where both Hindus and Sikhs come for darshan with reverence.
