Rules And Regulations

  1. All visitors making online bookings, whether for special darshan, pooja, or abhishek services, should report to the temple counter with a printed copy of the ticket and a photo ID.
  2. A maximum of 2 people can participate in pooja, aarti, or offerings when booking tickets for any such services. However, a special darshan ticket is valid for one person only.
  3. There is no specific dress code for darshan and pooja at the temple. You may dress in regular clothing as per your discretion.
  4. Under no circumstances is touching the Shivling allowed. Please do not engage in disputes regarding this. Perform darshan, water offerings, and flower offerings according to the prescribed rituals.
  5. Only darshan and water offerings are allowed in the temple sanctum. Other poojas are restricted.
  6. Do not pass your ticket to any other person or priest. Show it only to authorized personnel at the official counter or employees wearing the temple's ID cards and uniforms.
  7. The darshan schedule is available on the website and mobile app. Please plan your darshan, pooja, aarti, and shringar timings according to the temple’s opening and closing times.
  8. The ticket you booked is valid for the entire day. You can use your darshan ticket at any time during the day. There is no fixed time slot for darshan; entry is based on the "first come, first serve" system. Special darshan is available only until 8:30 PM.
  9. Children below 12 years can avail of free special darshan with a parent, but they cannot go alone.
  10. The abhishek of Bhagwan Omkareshwar is performed as per the arrangements made by the temple trust. If you book online, the abhishek will be done by the priest at the abhishek site. Only darshan and water offerings are allowed inside the sanctum.
  11. Some free darshan passes are provided with the abhishek packages, which can be used for special darshan. However, this arrangement is at the discretion of the temple administration and can be suspended under special circumstances. No refunds are given for these passes. You can collect your free pass by showing the booking receipt at the temple counter.
  12. If you book for the Mahamrityunjay Jaap online, it will be performed according to your availability, either with your presence or absence. If you are unable to attend, prasad will be sent to your address after the completion of the Jaap. The authorized priests will contact you over the phone for this service. The Jaap is performed in the Mahakaleshwar premises at the temple. Currently, it is only available in absentia.
  13. If you book for Naivedya Bhog, you cannot offer the bhog yourself. The bhog is offered by the priests daily, including fruits and curd rice, following traditional rituals. If you are unable to attend and receive prasad, fruits will be sent to your address. Special darshan is not included in this service.
  14. If you book for Shringar, the temple staff will carry out the decoration, and the prasad will be sent to your address, or you can collect it personally. Special darshan is not included in this service.
  15. For Narmada Aarti bookings, please report to the temple counter before 6:00 PM. The Aarti takes place at the Koti Tirth Ghat below the temple, where you can perform the Aarti with your family and receive prasad from the temple counter. Special darshan is not included in this service.
  16. The Shayan Shringar pooja service is currently suspended.
  17. If you have booked the Monday ride, please report at the temple counter by 10:00 AM. You can join the ride and participate in a city tour and then receive prasad. Special darshan is not included in this service.
  18. For any type of donation, please use the temple’s official website or app. Donations can also be made at the temple counter or donation boxes. The temple trust is not responsible for any donations made to unauthorized individuals. You can donate for specific purposes like the Ann Kshetra (food service), guesthouse construction, or the free distribution of khichdi service.
  19. Donations for the Ann Kshetra are used by the temple to provide free meals to the poor and sadhus. The ticket for Ann Kshetra donation cannot be used for meals at the prasad hall.
  20. For any issues related to online transactions or booking failures, please contact the temple helpline, and read our policies. We will provide full assistance in resolving any errors or issues.
  21. If you have booked a prasad ticket, please use it within the specified time—12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for lunch and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM for dinner. If you cannot make it on time, please inform the counter so that a ticket for the next meal can be issued to you. These tickets are not refundable.
  22. The protocol for the temple is issued by the Khandwa administration.
  23. Currently, there are no accommodation facilities provided by the temple. Please refrain from making inquiries regarding this.
  24. If you have booked a Shayan Shringar donation, the set created for the Bhagwan's decoration can be discussed for design, colors, and other matters by contacting the temple helpline. We will make every effort to fulfill your wishes. Please make this booking at least 15 days in advance.
  25. If you are unable to attend due to any reason after making an online booking, you can request to reschedule your darshan or pooja once. Please contact the helpline for this. This service can only be used once. If the date you desire is already booked, the rescheduling will not be possible. Only available dates can be rescheduled.
  26. If you have ordered any materials online, we will make every effort to deliver them promptly. However, if there are delays due to postal services, please contact the helpline. If you need any modifications, we are ready to assist you. Currently, this service is temporarily suspended.
  27. If the item you ordered is unavailable, your amount will be refunded.
  28. In case of a refund for online bookings, bank charges will be deducted, and the temple trust is not responsible for returning these charges.
  29. The pooja procedures followed at Omkareshwar Temple are those that have been in practice for centuries. Our priests follow these traditional procedures for abhishek and other poojas. If you have any doubts or concerns, please contact the temple office for guidance from our knowledgeable priests.
  30. If you wish to donate items like food, jewelry, or utensils, please contact the temple counter directly and get a receipt from the temple office.
  31. If you have any suggestions, complaints, or need modifications to your booking, please inform us through the feedback section on the website.
  32. Free services like wheelchairs and baby strollers are temporarily suspended.
  33. Abhishek and Mahamrityunjay Jaap begin at 9:00 AM, and regular abhishek can start at 6:00 AM. Abhishek is only allowed until sunset. Other poojas will follow the above-mentioned timings. Please plan your arrival time accordingly. Time slots for abhishek and pooja cannot be booked. Currently, only regular abhishek is available.
  34. Senior citizens over 75 years, differently-abled individuals, and critically ill persons are eligible for free special darshan. Contact the temple administration for this service. This facility is at the discretion of the temple administration, and decisions will be made according to the circumstances.
  35. No donations or online bookings are refunded. Refunds may only be made in special circumstances. You can refer to our refund policy and contact the temple administration for details.
  36. The temple administration reserves the right to cancel any booking in special circumstances. If the cancellation is made by the temple, you are entitled to either a refund or a new booking for a different date.
  37. The temple trust is responsible for providing services, but not obligated. In case of service unavailability, you are entitled to a refund of your charges, but no further compensation will be provided.
  38. When dignitaries visit the temple, a protocol is followed, and for security reasons, darshan may be temporarily suspended. We expect cooperation from everyone during such times.
  39. During special occasions like Shivratri, festivals, fairs, or during the Shravan month, there may be delays due to heavy crowds. During such times, normal darshan rules do not apply. Please check the festival schedule on the website before booking.
  40. Special darshan is entirely voluntary, and there is no obligation. You can always join the queue for regular darshan. This service has been initiated for the convenience of devotees.
