Shri Omkareshwar Temple Trust presents Omkar Parvat Parikrama, a spiritually enriching journey around the sacred Omkar Parvat, also known as Mandhata Parvat. The mountain holds immense mythological and religious significance, and performing its traditional parikrama is believed to bring special spiritual merit and blessings.
The approximately 7 KM long parikrama can be completed in around 2 to 2.5 hours. Along the route, devotees can visit several ancient and spiritually significant places, including Siddhanath Baradari, Gauri Somnath Temple, Rinmukteshwar Temple, and Lete Hanuman Temple. The sacred Ekatm Dham and the statue of Adi Shankaracharya are also located on the mountain.
To make this sacred journey more convenient, safe, and informative, Shri Omkareshwar Temple Trust has introduced the Omkar Parvat Parikrama Guided Service. Each group will be accompanied by a trained guide who will explain the history, religious significance, and importance of the various places along the route. Drinking water and refreshments will be provided to every participant, while the guide will also carry emergency equipment and communication facilities.
