Is booking required for darshan at the temple?
Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is now open for all devotees. Special darshan tickets, Abhishek Pooja, etc., have started. During Shravan month, on Mondays, Sundays, and festivals, free darshan tokens will be prioritized for token holders. Devotees must show a vaccination certificate or a maximum of two-day-old RTPCR report, and adhere to COVID guidelines (mask, hand hygiene, social distancing). Single vaccination is also acceptable. Children under 12 years will be allowed direct entry. The temple opens from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

How can tokens be booked for darshan?
You can book tickets through the website or app. Please check the availability of darshan on the website before booking. Remember to bring your darshan token and Aadhaar card when you visit. Upon entry at Omkareshwar, report at the facility center to verify your token. This service is completely free of charge. In special cases, the temple administration may cancel the token.

What are the rules for token booking?
Please arrive at the temple 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot. Tokens will not be valid after the time slot ends. Only one booking per week is allowed per mobile number. If more than one booking is made, the number will be blocked. Kindly cooperate with the administration to maintain the system.

Can special darshan tickets be booked at the temple?
The Shri Omkareshwar Temple Trust has arranged for special darshan ticket bookings. You can book your preferred date of darshan via the official website.

How long is a special darshan ticket valid for?
The ticket is valid for the booked slot. It cannot be used during service times when darshan is temporarily closed.

Are there any specific clothing requirements for darshan?
The temple administration has not specified any dress code. Devotees can visit in regular attire, and it is at the discretion of the devotees.

How can I book Abhishek Pooja or other rituals at the temple?
The temple administration offers various Poojas and Abhishek rituals for devotees. However, during the Abhishek Poojan, only darshan is allowed inside the Garbhgriha. Devotees are not permitted to perform the Abhishek themselves; instead, the priest conducts the ritual with them at the Abhishek Sthal and provides prasad afterward.

Is it necessary to confirm the date before booking a pooja?
For darshan tickets, Tuladan, Mundan, Abhishek, Nanda Deepak, and Annakshetra, confirming the date in advance is not necessary. However, for Narmada Aarti, Shayan Shringar Pooja, and Naivedya Bhog, please contact the helpline before booking.

What precautions should be taken to successfully book darshan and pooja tickets?
Before applying for booking, ensure no special characters (like commas, dots, slashes, quotes, etc.) are used in any fields. Fill in all the fields marked with a red symbol properly. Provide accurate details about the card and account holder when making payments, and avoid refreshing or using the back button during the payment process.

What accommodation arrangements are made by the temple administration?
The Shri Omkareshwar Temple Trust has established Shri Ji Vishramalaya. It is located near Omkar Prasadalaya, approximately 1 kilometer from the temple. It provides clean, airy community halls, well-equipped toilets, and changing rooms for men and women. For separate room bookings, devotees can contact Shri Gajanan Maharaj Bhakt Niwas or Madhya Pradesh Tourism-operated rest houses.

What are the arrangements for dining at Omkareshwar?
The Shri Omkareshwar Temple Trust operates Omkar Prasadalaya, located near the new hanging bridge. This prasadalaya serves food from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and khichdi in the evening from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The meals are prepared under the supervision of temple authorities by trained cooks. Devotees can avail these meals for a nominal fee.

What are the arrangements for travel from Omkareshwar to Mahakaleshwar?
Omkareshwar is about 130 kilometers from Ujjain. You can travel by bus or private car via road. Bus services are also available from Indore to Ujjain, with buses usually available until 8:00 PM, and sometimes even later in special circumstances.

What is the significance of Shayan Shringar Darshan?
Bhagwan Shiva, in his form as Mahadev, rests at the Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple. Every evening, from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM, a special Shayan Shringar Aarti is held, followed by darshan from 9:00 PM to 9:35 PM. This darshan has special significance, but due to COVID-19, this arrangement is currently closed to devotees.

How can I make a donation at the temple?
You can donate at the temple counter, via the official website, or through the Android app. Donations are eligible for tax exemptions under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. You can also donate by placing offerings in donation boxes within the temple premises or by donating goods.

What is the significance of the Monday procession (Sawai)?
Every Monday, a procession of Bhagwan Omkareshwar is held, starting from Koti Tirth Ghat. It includes Nandi Gan, Bhajan groups, and devotees. After the procession, Aarti and Prasad distribution take place. During Shravan month, a royal procession is held. You can also sponsor the procession by booking it online.

What to do if the transaction is successful but the ticket is not received?
If your transaction is successful but the ticket is not downloaded, you can check your email or reprint the ticket by entering your mobile number and transaction ID on the reprint page. If the transaction ID is not available, please contact the temple helpline.

Is there any cancellation or refund policy after booking a ticket?
No ticket or pooja booking can be canceled or refunded once done. However, if two identical transactions occur, contact the helpline. If you are unable to attend on the booked date due to any issue, you can contact the helpline to reschedule your darshan and pooja for another date, but this can only be done once per ticket and must be done at least one day before the booked date.

What documents are required for darshan and pooja?
You must bring a copy of your ticket along with an Aadhaar card or another photo ID as address proof for darshan and pooja. What places in Omkareshwar should be visited?
In addition to the main Jyotirlinga, the Shri Mamleshwar Temple, the confluence, and the parikrama have great significance. You can explore these places in one day. More details about other places of interest can be found on the temple website.

What is the arrangement for Tuladan?
This service is temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under normal circumstances, devotees wishing to perform Tuladan can do so by booking tickets online or at the counter. They can perform the ritual at the designated location within the temple, where necessary items like scales are available. Devotees must arrange for the offering items like grains, sweets, or fruits.
